RHEL4U3 is reputed to work out of the box with SATA.  Or you can set the
controller to do AT in the BIOS.

RH certified hardware can be searched at
http://hardware.redhat.com/

The only certified Optiplexes I see are the GX270 and GX280n, both
certified for RHEL3WS.
