Hi,

I have a strange problem.

I have a PE2900, Bios 2.0.1
Perc 5/i latest bios also.
Drac 5 latest bios.

When i reboot mij server it stops loading in the initrd. ( cramfs )
when i reboot it again, it again stops loading in the initrd.

But when i power off the server for 10 sec and then turn it on again
it loads normaly.

this has to to with the linux usbmassstorage drivers and de timing for de
scsi/sas controllers.

This is what happens.

1) normal boot /dev/sda = sas drives, /dev/sdb = sas drive, /dev/sdc = sas
drive ( i have 3 x raid 1 on my servers ) , /dev/sdd = Virtual CDROM from
Drac controller.
2) reboot, now /dev/sda = virtual CDROM drive , /dev/sdb = sas drive ( old
sda ) ... etc etc.
now power off.
and im back at step 1.

my /etc/modules :
loop
ipmi_devintf.ko
ipmi_msghandler.ko
ipmi_poweroff.ko
ipmi_si.ko
ipmi_watchdog.ko

the /etc/initramfs-tools/modules
= empty.

Im using the stock debian etch kernel. 2.6.18-5-686-bigmem.
Besides this problem my server is running perfect.

how can i fix this so if i reboot my server im 100% sure its comming up
again.

Louis
