I asked, since I have come across various postings on the web that
suggested the use of tagged VLANs in this context could be troublesome,
and I also came across a quirk of my own when using tagged VLANs - see

In fact, that problem eventually 'went away' after a reboot of the 1950,
and I can no longer repeat it. We *are* now using tagged VLANs on our
BMC's, and using SOL to manage the consoles, but I wanted some
confirmation from Dell that there were no known issues in doing so.
