Subject: snmp & dellomsa debian
I'm trying to get snmp to work on a dell server running debian etch. I
installed the debian port of dellomsa from ftp.sara.nll and it works. I
can
query the chassis temp by typing 'omreport chassis temps'. From what I
can
gleen from googling, in the rpm package, snmp is not enabled by default.
But
I can't figure out how to turn it on in the debian package.
The reason I think this is the problem is that I think I should bet
something when I type:
snmpwalk -v1 -c public localhost .1.3.6.1.4.1.674.10892.1.700.12.1.6.1.1
I have modified /etc/default/snmpd to enable smux. The contents of my
snmpd.conf are
---
rocommunity public
smuxpeer .1.3.6.1.4.1.674.10892.1
