Folks,
I have 6 PE2950s which I am installing VMware ESX 3.0.2 on. Of course I
want to ensure they have the latest firmware and BIOS before going into
production.
I asked in a separate message to linux-poweredge about when/if ESX will
be a supported operating system. The support matrix[1] for 5.3 does NOT
list any version of ESX.
It does mention that "Dell OpenManage 5.1 was the last version to be
supported on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3" and ESX 3.0.2 is based upon
RHEL3. So I am lead to believe that the best course of action is to run
OMSA 5.1 and apply SUU 5.1 on these brand new 2950 systems?
