Hi all,
I have a PE6950 on which I installed F7 and OMSA 5.2 using the el5
repository. I'm aware this is not entirely supported.
I'm in the middle of upgrading to F8, which doesn't appear to
provide a 32-bit pam package in the x86_64 repository. This clashes with
OMSA which is 32-bit only and depends on pam.
So.. in case anyone else is as sick as me, here's my blunt
"get-to-keep-both-pieces" workaround:
- erase pam.i386 (and thus OMSA)
- upgrade to F8 x86_64
- rpm -ivh http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/releases/8/Fedora/i386/os/Packages/pam-0.99.8.1-10.fc8.i386.rpm
- re-install OMSA
Not ideal. Given that RHEL 6 may have similar problems, are future OMSA
releases going to be affected by this?
Matt
