EMC with Linux RHEL5

Hi,

Does the host work? Can you see/use the LUNs connected to the host?

Unless you can see any Loggedin = YES Registered = NO connections in Navisphere this is most likely not a problem with registration.

How many Loggedin = No Registered =YES entries do you see for the host?

How many Loggedin = YES Registered =YES entries do you see for the host?

What happed before this problem occurred?

Dear sir

Am thinking about this issue the host connectivity issues that am facing right
now it has to do with the installation the one who has done the installation did some manual
registration mostly ....??? am not sure
Am thinking just just to do the unregister for
these gray icons HBA and just clean it up from the system ... what you think?

Thanks

Hi,

Your FC HBAs has not logged into the Front End FC Ports of your Clariion Array.

In "network terms" there is no Link. This could be a physical problem, or a logical problem like a bad zoning configuration etc.

Possible Causes:

1. The Driver for the HBAs is not loaded.

2. The Fibre Cables are not connected/broken.

3. If you have FC Switches/Switch the Zoning Configuration might not be correct.

4. One of several different hardware components could be broken, HBAs, FC Switch, FC Switch GBICs etc.

Problem: Linux hosts attached to CLARiiON CX10 array shows Fibre Login
status Not Logged In, am using Navisphere Manager 6.x

Connectivity status displays the following for hosts the following

Icon beside "Initiator WWN" field ===>Icon is grayed out
"Fibre Logged in" ===>Displays as "No"
        "Registered"                                 ===>Displays as "Yes"

What could be?
