Well crap.  That's a strike against me for not having thoroughly
checked the memory consumption of the SSH process on the remote side.
Of course, I could excuse it on not having done such a large dataset,
but that's a cop-out.  I'm sorry - my misunderstanding of
rsync-over-ssh.
