BIOS settings from the shell ?

I think omconfig(omsa) is what you are looking for.

[root at fsh1166db5 addons]# omconfig chassis biossetup -?
biossetup        Configure BIOS setup.
NOTE: Changing onboardraid or primaryscsi or ide attributes can make
your
      system inoperable or require an operating system reinstall
Valid parameters are:
