860 IPMI setup

No, it doesn't respond to ping.

Yes, should be.  Make sure your IP/vlan settings are correct, then test
it remotely with ipmitool.

Make sure you have A03 installed for your BMC firmware.  This fixed a
problem for me that caused the network portion of the BMC to hang under
certain conditions.
