2950 with 64-bit RHEL 4.5 hangs at "GRUB loading stage2"

I just wiped a 2950 running 32-bit RHEL 4.5 (PERC 5/i, SAS drives) and
installed 64-bit RHEL 4.5.  The install went smoothly, but hangs at
"GRUB loading stage2".  The same server booted just fine with 32-bit
RHEL 4.5.

I can boot the RHEL install CD to rescue mode & see my newly-installed
OS, so what gives?

Any help is most appreciated as I'm trying to get this server back into
production.  Thanks!
