Monitoring a PE2850 using cacti and omsa

Hi, after spending a bunch of time getting ipmi and omsa running on a
PE2850, I wanted to know if there is anyone out there using cacti to
poll the data omsa exports via snmp? (temp and fan information)

I found 2 cacti implenetations that graph ipmi information, one that
makes a direct network connection to the ipmi interface (I'd rather
avoid this) and one that exports the information from ipmitool (why do
this when the info is available through omsa).

Since I haven't found any mention of someone polling omsa through snmp
using cacti, I'm really curious what people out there are using to
monitor this data instead.  Thanks in advance.
