Reinstalling Dell utility partition on PE2850

I have destroyed the Dell utility partition on a PE2850 running RHEL3.
(Stupidly I deleted the /dev/sda1 partition and created an ext3 
filesystem on it, when I meant /dev/sdb1).

Working my way through the docs, I have found the partition image as 
/server_assistant/pe2850/upimg.bin on the "Installation and Server
Management CD".

1. How to I write this image to the partition /dev/sda1?

2. Can I do it without shutting the server down?
