PERC Firmware Update - VMWare server

Hi

I need to update the firmware on a couple of 6650's that are VMWare 
servers running

2.4.9-vmnix2

Running the firmware upgrade script i get this....

# ./RAID_FRMW_LX_R119710.BIN
Error while loading shared libraries: libstdc++.so.5:
cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory.
You must install the Linux compatibility libraries.

So trying to install that compat library i get a dependency issue

# rpm -Uvh compat-libstdc++-33-3.2.3-47.3.i386.rpm
error: failed dependencies:
         libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.3)   is needed by compat-libstdc++-33-3.2.3-47.3
         libgcc_s.so.1(GCC_3.3)   is needed by 
compat-libstdc++-33-3.2.3-47.3

I dont like the look of that and as this is vmware server does anyone 
have any clues how to update this firmware?
