Mathew,
As far as I know, 2950 comes with two controllers,
1. perc 5/I which is required if you need to do raid (0,1,5 etc)
2. sas 5/I when no raid is required....

Chris, list,
I am getting ready to order a 2950 with the same 5/i controller, but I'm
unsure if it will allow you to run SATA disks with raid 5 and cache.
The 5/i documentation doesn't say a word about SATA, but the disk config
part of the server build states, "Integrated SAS/SATA RAID 5, PERC 5/i
Integrated add $0." So which is it? Does the 5/i do SATA in raid 5
mode or what?
