1950s with SAS 5/I controller and install debian etch

Hi, 

 

We have several Dell 1950s with SAS 5/I controller and we are trying to
install debian etch in it http://www.us.debian.org/devel/debian-installer/

 

Researching on its compatibility I have sense that Debian etc h might not
have the drivers for the SAS 5/I controllers. Will I be able to install
debian etch in Dell 1950s with SAS 5/I controllers?

 

If not, can anyone help me how can I get debian etch OS installed in a dell
1950 with sas 5/I controllers? Do I need to switch to perc 5e controller, is
debain compatible with perc 5e controllers that comes in dell 1950?

 

I am very new to debian, so please help me. Thanks in advance.
