Replacing motherboard with perc 3/di

We have two Dell PowerEdge 2650 with PERC3/di running Redhat ES 4.
Both of these servers have the mouse and keyboard ports not working.
Dell tech support agreed to replace the motherboard of both systems.
Now the question is, will there be any problem if the motherboard of
these servers replaced? How about the PERC3/di configuration?, will
the configuration be restored? Do I have to recreate the configuration
like with PERC4, or the PERC3 will read its configuration from disk?
I'm hesitant to replace the motherboard because PERC3/di is known to
have some temper sometimes, but sooner or later the motherboard will
need to be replaced anyway.
Thanks
