Authentication Errors Message

I'm trying to configure a linux (RHES 4.x) server to work with the
Dell OpenManage IT assistant.

I've installed the server administrator on the server, and have
configured SNMP.  However, while the server is communicating with the
Dell OpenManage IT Assistant, it's throwing off errors

Device:umptyscratch 10.1.1.11, Service Tag:blah, Asset Tag:,
Date:10/22/06, Time:18:19:40:000, Severity:Critical,
Message:Authentication Failure

How do I troubleshoot?  Where in the snmpd (or is it somewhere else)
do I affect authentication?

I only want IT Assistant to have read-only access, with no
authentication required.
