Broadcom NIC delays prevent DHCP during Kickstart

I have an annoying problem with the Broadcom NICs in all the recent
PowerEdge servers that I have used (including the 2950).

During a kickstart, the PXE boot is always able to succesfully DHCP, but
when anaconda tries to reach the DHCP server, it can never actually reach
it. I don't see the packets make it over there in tcpdump. Once kickstart
has hung for a little while, I can manually enter IP information and it
works from there, but it seems like the time it takes the Broadcom NIC to
start communicating with the PowerConnect 5324 switch is so long that DHCP
will always timeout.

Anyone have a good fix for this issue?
