Blinking lights

It sounds like the servers are reporting an error.  You should check
your system event log through OpenManage Server Administrator.  The
"normal" state for all of your servers is either solid blue (no errors
reported) or amber (when there's an error).  Pressing the (i)dentify
button will cause a server in either state to blink blue (so you can
find the front/back of the same server if you're working on it and
moving from front to back of the rack).  Pressing (i)dentify again will
return it to its previous state.
 
The system event log will let you know why it's reporting an error, and
it could be as simple as a warning (one power cable unplugged, cover
remover from top of system, single-bit memory errors, etc) or something
that requires attention (fan failure, CPU failure, etc).  Since the
servers are apparently working, it's likely a warning, but should be
investigated, because redundancy may be lost in some component of the
system.
 
If you don't have Server Administrator installed, you may want to call
support, as depending on your system model and Linux distribution, you
may be able to run Dell DSET, boot to a floppy to pull the system event
log, or you may have to boot to our OpenManage LiveCD on linux.dell.com.

	I know there is an entry on this in the FAQ, but the lights on
two of my servers flash - no matter what I press in terms of front or
back panel buttons. All the buttons do it let me choose between blue or
orange.
	
	Other apparently identical servers have constant non-flashing
lights.
	
	Anyone know why or if I should be worried ?
