Mmm,
All users (25) run Gnome desktop with the system monitor up showing CPU
and memory usage ...
It ain't-a-runnin out of RAM .. honest!
I get told when the load average goes over 0.9, I'd know if it was
swapping (!)
(incidentally, it only goes over 0.9 because of the cupsys bug that the
Ubuntu guys reckon isn't important enough to put right in Dapper.. I can
get a loaf average of 20+ .. although it doesn't seem to have any sort
of adverse effect on performance)
Gareth.
