PE 2950

I've never had much luck with the LSI utilities and creating spaned VDs.
I really would suggest using OMSA. You could use the OMSA Live CD, boot
from your OMSA CD and use the Dell server administrator, or install
OMSA. Each of these methods will allow you to create a RAID 10.

The equivalent OMSA cli command to what your asking is 'omconfig storage
controller action=createvdisk controller=0 raid=r10 size=max
adisk=1:0:0,1:0:1,1:0:2,1:0:3 writepolicy=wb readpolicy=ara
stripesize=128kb'

Hope that helps.

Trying also to configure the perc 5i by megacli. megacli works for raid
5, haven't gotten it to work with raid 10.

I have (4) 73G drives off the perc 5i controller, trying to configure as
follows:

megacli -cfgSpanAdd -r10 -Array0[1:0,1:1] -Array1[1:2,1:3] WB ADRA
Direct strpsz128 -a0

The above doesn't work.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

		Does the 2950 support RAID 10? I don't see how to set it
up in
	the setup utility, just RAID 1.
