RHEL4 U4 Crashes on PE1800

We were using Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 Update 2 (2.6.9-22.ELsmp) with
Oracle 10g Database on Dell Power Edge 1800 server. 

After couple of weeks running on production, the server crashed with the
following error: 

Ext3-fs: Error: (device sda8) in start_transaction: journal has aborted. 

We managed to bring the server up by performing fsck. 

The above problem repeated at least 8 times, after which server never came
up. 

We re-installed latest version of Linux RHEL 4 U4 (2.6.9-42.ELsmp) through
Dell Open Manage CD. Performed complete diagnostic hardware test. 

On 10- Nov-2006 we went live on this Dell PE1800 as production server.
During last 1 month we were operating on lower end IBM Server Xseries 225
(RHEL 4 U2) & faced No issues what's so ever. 

On 21-Nov-2006 Dell PE1800 Server crashes with the following Error: 

Ext3-FS Error (Device dm-3) in start-transaction: journal has aborted 

 

I cannot find any logs related to above errors, since the file system
becomes read only. 


We require your immediate support on a hardware issue we are having with our
DELL Server. 

I'll be highly obliged, if you can provide a suitable solution.
