Hi,
Server: PowerEdge 2850
OS: CentOS 4.4 / Windows 2003 std srv
RAM: Crucial 1024 MB PC2-4200 . CL=4 REGISTERED . ECC DDR2-SYNCHRONOUS
I have recently noticed in Open Manage the 'Single bit error logging
disabled' error, coincidently this has happened on two identical servers in
the same port DIMM2_A. Both 1GB from crucial. I have ran the dianostic
test(Pattern Test) which verifies the problem without giving too much
information as to what is actually wrong.
I've researched and found a suggested a possible solution:

I intend to try this out, however, both servers are production so cannot
easily be taken down. I haven't noticed any reduction in performance so am
not overly eager to do this until I have to.
Is there any further tests I can ran to identify what the problem is?
Am I likely to cause additional damage if I continue to run in this state?
Your input and experiences appreciated.
