working .config for 2.6.8 on PE830?

Can anyone send me a working .config for a 2.6.8 kernel on PE830?
(I am still on 2.6.8 because I am stuck with Debian sarge.)

I tried compiling with the Debian default .config from their 
kernel-image package, but I've hit the (aparently infamous) pivot_root 
problem -- http://kerneltrap.org/node/4677 -- and none of the suggested 
solutions work for me.
