Log into ServerAdmin as NON root

Sure, log in with an account with root/admin priviledges.
Click on the 'Preferences' link in the upper left corner of the
interface.
Under 'Access Configuration' check either 'Power User access granted.'
and/or 'User access granted.' then 'Apply Changes'.

authenticate with a non root user? Preferably using and AD account or
even a non root local account would be better than having to use root
every time
