list-admin :: default to 'reply-to' the list ?

could this explain why some older postings are not well threaded, when you
google and found them in the archive?
Anyhow, I didn't mean to start a mailman discussion or alike. just want a
sane default behavior to benefit myself and future readers of the archive. I
use Gmail and Notes (webmail) to read posts, 'reply' is a lot easier/faster
than 'reply-to-all'...
Allow me to summarize what we have so far:
- reply-to: list No action required of the end user, but a simple
change by the list admin, I assume
- reply-to-all: user needs to delete the current poster he
replied to; or to be flagged not to receive duplicates
