list-admin :: default to 'reply-to' the list ?

Right. I did NOT get the mail from mailman.
This is bad. Please remove the "nodupes" setting for me again.

And the biggest hassle is the hand-editing need to keep on the list 
communication.

So please tell mailman to insert a Reply-To-List.
This reduces the hand-editing needs to a much smaller bunch of people: 
only those which want to pick up a list mail for starting a private-only 
thread.
