Firefox 1.0.x and DRAC5

Has anyone successfully used the Console Redirection or Remote Media
extension in the new DRAC5 with Mozilla Firefox 1.0.x ?

At first I assumed that the DRAC5 docs only listed FF 1.0.5 as
"supported" because of Redhat ES/AS bitrot, but I recently tried FF
1.0.8 on Win32 and neither Media or Console are functional, which leads
me to doubt that they're functional in RHEL on 1.0.5_[some_patch_level].

I mean, how hard can it be to teach the JRE to read /dev/floppy and
/dev/cdrom on the host?   Why does this stuff have to be ActiveX?

And the VNC Remote Console Redirection on DRAC4 was perfect; the latest
patch fixed a couple of longstanding bugs that involved key sequence
recognition.

Such a shame....
