I just finished some runs on an HP DL585 with 4x875. Our application is
cpu and memory intensive and is therefore not scaling perfectly on all
architectures. Our processes are single threaded and we run one process
per core to get best performance.

Our reference machine is an Opteron 250 that has no measurable
scalability problems. Note that the 875 has a slightly slower clock
frequency, 2.2GHz compared to 2.4GHz for the others:

Model	# jobs	run time
250	1	100%
250	2	100%
280	1	100%
280	4	105%
875	1	115%
875	8	130%

And yes, we would buy more Dell machines if they offered Opteron servers
at a competitive price.
