Dell to start selling AMD Opteron Servers

That's the best news I've heard in a long time, especially
considering how much of an ordeal it has been to buy
Sun and HP Opteron-based servers. I've had to split between
the two since HP doesn't have single socket Opteron systems
and Sun's dual-socket Opteron systems absolutely stink for
disk options.  I can't believe how difficult those companies
make it to actually purchase their products either, it's
like they don't want the business.

Wonder what kind of time frame we're looking at on seeing
actual products, and if those first generation systems
will be stable.  Don't want to end up with another
PowerEdge 1655. :-)
