hello
I hope I'm posting ont he right list. I've seen many things in the
archives about this issue, but nothing has fixed the problem yet.
System is a PE6450 4xpentium 3, running fedora core 5. After a
reboot, it just hangs.
I tried upgrading the BIOS. No help. (but now it complains about
firmware being out of date, and I can't find the firmware on the
download site).
I tried apm=power_off. no help.
THen I tried ipmi. I've tried several of the options on this list but
I keep getting:
FATAL: Error inserting ipmi_si
(/lib/modules/2.6.15-1.2054_FC5smp/kernel/drivers/char/ipmi/ipmi_si.ko):
No such device
and on the logs:
ay 13 16:19:00 localhost kernel: IPMI System Interface driver.
May 13 16:19:00 localhost kernel: ipmi_si: Trying "kcs" at I/O port 0xca2
May 13 16:19:00 localhost kernel: ipmi_si: Trying "smic" at I/O port 0xca9
May 13 16:19:00 localhost kernel: ipmi_si: Trying "bt" at I/O port 0xe4
May 13 16:19:00 localhost kernel: ipmi_si: Unable to find any System
Interface(s)
Any thoughts?
thanks
mickey
