Not getting ESM events...

I answered my own question.
I had to do these things, not sure which one (or both) did it:
1. Put this into the end of my /etc/snmpd/snmp.conf:
trapsink ip-address-of-it-assistant-system snmp-community-string
2. On the linux host's OpenManage Server Administrator gui:
Alert Management / Platform Events / Configure Destination and
added a destination for my ITA server with proper snmp string
