The purpose of this note is to let everybody know that the unofficial(*)
Dell yum repository at http://linux.dell.com/repo/software/ is now
updated with the latest OMSA version. Please let us know if there are
any difficulties with the repository via this mailing list.
Anybody who has installed previous versions using this repository should
be able to seamlessly upgrade to the new version.
Installation instructions are at http://linux.dell.com/repo/software/.
Supported operating systems are:
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4
SUSE Enterprise Linux 9, SP3
Briefly, to use the repository to install OMSA, you need only run these
commands:
1) rpm -e openipmi (This is a workaround for a potential
installation issue. Openipmi will be re-installed)
2) wget -q -O - http://linux.dell.com/yum/software/bootstrap.sh
| bash
3) up2date -i srvadmin-all
4) (optional) up2date -i srvadmin-racX (where X is the type
