dellmgr on Debian Sarge ?

Our several dozen Dell machines are running Debian Sarge and I'd really 
like to get dellmgr and the like to run without booting to a DOS floppy. 
We are running a standard 2.6.15 kernel. Has anyone made this sort of 
software available - or had experience getting things to work from a 
running Linux system (even Debian unstable??)   TIA
