Subject: how to read serial number from drives connected to PERC 4e/Di
Running RHEL4, Update 3 on two machines:
dell 2850, perc 4e/di, RAID0+1, HDU=Seagate Cheetah ST3146707LC dell
1850, perc 4e/si, RAID0+1, HDU=Maxtor Atlas 10K V All drives are 146GB,
10k RPM, Ultra320 SCSI
How can I read the serial number of the SCSI drives ?
Witness that smartctl and sginfo do not work with /dev/sda or /dev/sg0
