The only thing I can really suggest is updating your firmware... 1.04 is
really old.

The newest stuff I could find on support.dell.com is here
http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/download.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen&
releaseid=R46865&SystemID=PWE_PNT_PII_2200&os=LE30&osl=en&deviceid=1372&
devlib=0&typecnt=1&vercnt=4&formatcnt=2&libid=35&fileid=55117

Hope that helps.

Subject: PE 1400 w/ PERC2 : scsi error...

I've got a rather old, but working PE 1400SC with a perc2 card with 2 x
36 gig 10k in raid 1 (mirror). The perc card is at FW 1.04. The system
runs a RHEL 3 clone. There is nothing else scsi in this machine.

Sometimes (like minutes ago), I get many scsi errors on the console.
Errors like "SCSI error PID (some big number) timeout waiting bla bla".
Unfortunetly, I wasn't able to grab the exact message. The snap shot I
took with my remote console refreshed itself, and I got the system
booting...

After pulling the plug (the only solution), the server is fine after
that.
Both disks apear fine, no errors

Does this makes any sense ?

Nicolas
