That would be this bug, which I ran into on my own PE2400, but was
never able to resolve.  The system isn't hung, it's just that no timer
tick interrupts are happening anymore.  I don't have the hardware
anymore to reproduce.

I'll defer, but everything newer than 4th generation PowerEdges should
be fine.
