1800 - SCSI - good with 2.4 fails with 2.6 Debian Sarge

Use a later kernel version.  I am using a 2.6.14 on the same type machine.  
You can download the disc I use from 
http://66.135.38.166/download/pub/tmp/sarge-custom-1126.iso.  Depending on 
the controller type, you may need to use modprobe.  I think I had to do that 
for the mptspi or the mptsas modules.
