PE2950 and Debian

Not sure if this is still an issue....  I have had similar errors using the 
updated sarge installers.  It did not load the SCSI or SATA driver module for 
the card so it can not find the root partition on the drive.  I usually just 
reboot and then chroot to the mounted drive.  I add the module to 
the /etc/mkinitrd/modules or /etc/mkinitramfs/modules file and then type 
dpkg-reconfigure linux-image-2.6.14-2-686-smp.  You would replace the linux 
kernel image with the kernel you have installed.  If you need more detailed 
instructions on the chroot step let me know.
