IPMI on the Poweredge 850

We're running Ubuntu Dapper, so YMMV. This is what we have:

Kernel Options:
Since we're running 2.6.15, we need to add this to the kernel boot line
in grub's configuration:
    pnpacpi=off

otherwise the modules don't work install properly. Then we open up the
right modules:
    modprobe ipmi_si
    modprobe ipmi_devintf

(For the former, you might need to add the following to the
modprobe.conf file, or whatever SuSE uses:
    options ipmi_si type="kcs" ports="0xca8" regspacings="4"
)

after that, as root, "ipmitool -I open chassis status" should Just Work.
