Server behaviour during overheat?

Hi,

We had an office aircon unit fail over the weekend (not our production
site). The backup aircon kept going but this weekend was very hot and
eventually one of my PE1750s overheated and rebooted itself (by the look of
the logfiles).

It only seemed to reboot itself once and I was wondering if this was due to
a cpu or memory bit error caused by the heat, or whether the hardware
detected the overheat (BIOS setting?) and decided it was time to reboot.

Is there any defined behaviour regarding overheating? Or is it just random
due to bit errors.

Regards,

Chris
