Debian on a PowerEdge 1950

I have just recently been handed a PowerEdge 1950, one of the shiney and
  new.
We would prefer to have Debian running on this box as that is our
internal SOE base OS, however, I have run into some issues getting it
installed, let alone running.
I have not been able to find any documentation which tells me which
kernel modules support the PERC/5 RAID card or the Broadcom NetEtreme
NIC, or even really, which kernel *version* supports these devices.

Anyone got any hints?

regards,
