Since this is just a SCSI controller (i.e. no RAID) you should just have
to rescan the SCSI bus). You can do this manually by running
echo "scsi add-single-device H C T L" > /proc/scsi/scsi (H = Host, C =
Channel, T = Target, L = Lun).
There is also a script out there called rescan-scsi-bus.sh you may
already have it or if not a quick google search should find it.

Subject: Adding a disk to a 1650 whist booted
Is there a utility that will let me add a disk to a 1650 without booting
to the RAID BIOS? I tried "dellmgr", but it doesn't support the Adaptec
AIC-7899 controller.
