ipmi 1.4.14-1 on a 2450

I'm running centos 4.4 and I installed ipmi with yum, on an older 2450 and I
am unable to get it to run.

[root at smtp2 ~]# /etc/init.d/ipmi status
ipmi_msghandler module not loaded.
ipmi_si module not loaded.
ipmi_devintf module not loaded.
/dev/ipmi0 does not exist.

Will I need a patch for the 2450 will I have to recompile it myself!?
