You will want the megarc utility, it can query the adapter from linux.
An example command to pull Logical Drive info:
megarc -ldInfo -a0 -Lall -nolog
which will pull Logical Drive information from adapter zero on all LDs
without generating a logfile. Add a dash of perl to monitor from cron and
such.
