Debian Sarge on a PE850

Hello,

I need to install Debian Sarge on a Dell PE850 server with a SATA  
disk. Sarge and Etch installers do not detect the disk, because ICH7  
controller is not supported by those kernels, Sid however installs  
without problems.

I have tried to boot with Sid kernel in expert mode and choose  
"stable" version tree to install, but this method doesn't work :(

It's there anyway to install Sarge on this server? or a link  
explaining howto modify Sarge netboot/ISO to change the kernel (*),  
or perhaps someone has made a installer with a newer kernel..

I have also tried to change in the BIOS SATA access mode to "legacy"  
to see SATA disks as PATA, but I think this option is not supported  
by Dell BIOS, I am confused?
