SAS, Precision 690, SUSE 10.1

Hi all,

I saw that Henrik had a problem with a Poweredge with a SAS controller
and drives and I'm having a similar issue. I have a Precision 690 with
a Dell SAS1068 PCI-X Fusion-MPT SAS controller and 2 Maxtor Atlas
10K5_147 SAS drives. I'm trying to install SUSE 10.1 but I can't
partition the drives and Yast says that no drives are found.

The kernel messages show that it is loading the Fusion MPT SAS Host
driver 3.03.07 and the drives show up in the kernel messages as sda and
sdb as they should. Could it be because Windows x64 came preloaded and
Yast thinks that there is no more space to load SUSE?

Has anyone else gotten SUSE 10.1 to work on a Precision 690?

Thanks!

John
