You can use OMSA as Paul notes, or you can use the in-kernel ipmi
drivers and ipmitool from ipmitool.sourceforge.net.

# modprobe ipmi_si
# modprobe ipmi_devintf
# (make /dev/ipmi0 if not using udev)
# ipmitool sel list

for example.
