Hi. I have an old server and a new server with LVM support.
Now, I have installed the hardisk of old-server into new-server, so
now I have new-server with two HD and one problem: the same name for
LVM.
# pvscan
PV /dev/sda2 VG VolGroup00 lvm2 [76.22 GB / 32.00 MB free]
Total: 1 [76.22 GB] / in use: 1 [76.22 GB] / in no VG: 0 [0 ]
[root at zeus ~]# df
Filesystem 1K-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on
/dev/mapper/VolGroup00-LogVol00
76635192 2086296 70656060 3% /
# pvdisplay /dev/sdb2
--- Physical volume ---
PV Name /dev/sdb2
VG Name VolGroup00
PV Size 76.22 GB / not usable 0
Allocatable yes
PE Size (KByte) 32768
Total PE 2439
Free PE 1
Allocated PE 2438
PV UUID UN100g-qxdP-Ha2S-Ko9F-5a5q-F2f7-PRvg6K
Now, I must to access to the data contained into /dev/sdb2 LVM but I
haven't found any solution. I can not chage the VG Name of /dev/sdb2
because the cgrename program cannot give me the possibility to change
it.
Any help ?
